Welcome to our web site. I’m so pleased that you have found us! Our church is an independent congregation of earnest but imperfect evangelical followers of Jesus Christ from many different Christian traditions. We are small in number but have every confidence that our heavenly Father has commissioned great work for us in His kingdom and for His glory. In His Providence He has miraculously re-located us to the village of Rohrersville, where, Deo volente, we shall begin meeting (in a 19th century church building which was given to us as a gift, praise God) on Sunday, February 28. Our focus at COS has always been the Word – the written Word of God and Jesus Christ, the logos, the Living Word. That will not change at Rohrersville. Nor will our commitment to comprehensive Christian education, authentic fellowship, discipleship training, and to local, national and world-wide mission: the spread of the gospel of Christ – in word and deed – within but also far beyond the confines of this tiny hamlet. Our Worship Services are celebrations of the glory of God, liturgical in structure but passionate and accessible in conduct, particularly in the ministry of the Word from the pulpit. If you are not presently connected to a local church, we urge you to pay us a visit. The Service begins each Sunday at 10:15. Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:00 and includes two or three adult electives. You will be welcomed with open arms, no matter who you are, where you’ve been, or what you’re up to. But come expecting to be confronted with the claims of Holy Scripture and your own need to adjust your life accordingly. We seek always to speak God’s truth in humility and love, but we are compelled by the love of Christ to speak it plainly and boldly. We hope to see you soon at the Rohrersville Chapel! |
